De-Tect Unit Inspection Europe Ltd is proud to announce that our aerospace inspection facility in Nuneaton, United Kingdom, has successfully achieved Nadcap Merit Status for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

This is a significant achievement and reflects our continued commitment to delivering the highest levels of quality, technical competence and customer confidence within the aerospace industry.

What is Nadcap?

Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is the world’s leading accreditation programme for aerospace special processes. It is recognised throughout the global aerospace industry and is used by many of the world’s largest aerospace manufacturers to ensure suppliers consistently meet stringent technical and quality requirements.

Accreditation is achieved through rigorous independent audits conducted by industry experts, assessing every aspect of the inspection process, including:

  • Personnel competence and qualifications
  • Inspection procedures and techniques
  • Equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Process control
  • Quality Management Systems
  • Traceability and documentation
  • Continuous improvement

What Does Merit Status Mean?

Achieving Nadcap accreditation is a major accomplishment in itself. Receiving Merit Status goes a step further.

Merit Status is awarded only to organisations that consistently demonstrate exceptional compliance during their Nadcap audits. It recognises mature, well-controlled processes with minimal audit findings and provides the benefit of extending the audit cycle from 12 months to 18 months.

For our customers, this provides additional confidence that De-Tect operates to the highest aerospace quality standards with proven process consistency and reliability.
